Job Summary. What You'll Do: As a Live-In Personal Care Assistant, you'll provide compassionate, non-medical support that helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Helping with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
- Assisting with daily living activities, including meal preparation, shopping/errands, and light housekeeping.
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean living environment
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Accompanying clients to appointments or errands when appropriate
- Monitoring changes in a client's condition and communicating with the care team
- Follow individualized care plans to ensure each client's specific needs are met, and report changes in health status.
Requirements - No experience required
- Previous experience in home health care or a related field preferred.
- Reliable transportation for client visits.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Willingness to live in the client's home during scheduled shifts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to and from assignments
- Candidates may be required to complete a background check as a condition of employment, consistent with Connecticut state regulations and applicable federal law.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be reliable with a strong commitment to punctuality and professionalism.
- Able to lift up to 25–50 lbs and assist with physical transfers.
