Systems AdministratorThe Opportunity: The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of enterprise systems and infrastructure. This role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of IT systems and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure technology services. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting our law enforcement and national security missions?What You’ll Work On: Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and enterprise applications.Configure, support, and optimize Windows and Linux operating environments.Manage virtualization environments such as VMware vSphere, including ESXi hosts and vCenter.Oversee network services, including DNS, DHCP, IP address management, and basic routing and subnetting functions.Perform hardware installation, “rack and stack”, troubleshooting, and component replacement.Install, mount, and maintain servers, switches, and storage arrays, including performing hardware RAID configuration and overseeing hands‑on datacenter server management.Implement backup, disaster recovery, and system continuity plans.Ensure systems adhere to security, compliance, and organizational standards.Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide root-cause analysis.Support onboarding of new hardware, virtual machines, and applications.Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support new technologies and proof-of-concept efforts.Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
