Job Description\n Care Career is seeking a travel Pharmacy Technician for a travel job in San Andreas, California.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Pharmacy Technician\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: 09/21/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 10 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Pharmacy Technician – Hospital\n Shift: Days – 10 hoursSchedule: 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Wednesday; typically 6:30 AM–3:00 PM SundayWeekend: Every other weekend / Sunday requiredGuaranteed Hours: 40 hours/weekContract: 13 weeksCharting System: CernerMust-Have Requirements\n \n Active California Pharmacy Technician license — required\n \n Candidates without a CA license will not be considered due to lengthy licensing process.\n \n BLS certification — required\n Hospital pharmacy experience — required\n Must be able to make IVs\n Experience with sterile compounding\n Experience with unit-dose packaging/pre-packaging\n Experience with Omnicell or Pyxis\n Ability to work independently\n Candidate should be comfortable being the only pharmacy technician in the department after training/orientation\n \n No current L&D, NICU, or PICU.Key Responsibilities\n \n Prepare, package, label, restock, and reorder medications and supplies under pharmacist supervision.\n Prepare unit-dose medications.\n Deliver and retrieve medications from patient-care areas.\n Restock medication rooms, carts, and automated dispensing machines.\n Use proper aseptic technique to prepare non-hazardous sterile compounded preparations.\n Perform daily and weekly cleanroom cleaning.\n Clean hazardous and non-hazardous IV hoods.\n Prepare and restock emergency medication trays and boxes.\n Monitor medication inventory, expiration dates, and storage conditions.\n Complete pharmacy quality-control documentation.\n Respond to phone and message requests from patient-care units.\n Assist with resolving medication-related issues.\n \n About Care Career\n \n Care Career brings together a portfolio of leading healthcare staffing organizations, each delivering specialized talent solutions across the industry.
