Typical responsibilities include performing detailed musculoskeletal and functional evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering interventions such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and patient education. You will manage a diverse caseload that may include post-surgical patients, sports injuries, spine conditions, balance and gait impairments, and general orthopedic diagnoses. Documentation is completed using an electronic medical record platform designed for outpatient rehabilitation, supporting efficient charting and outcome tracking.
A typical day involves independent management of a scheduled caseload with scheduled visit lengths appropriate for initial evaluations and follow-up treatments. Patient volume is structured to balance productivity with quality, allowing time for one-on-one care, progression of plans of care, and coordination with referring providers when needed. The team-based environment encourages consultation with colleagues for complex cases and promotes shared learning through in-services and case discussions.
Shifts are generally daytime hours on weekdays, with potential for early morning or early evening appointments to accommodate patient schedules. Weekend and holiday coverage expectations, if any, are limited and outlined by clinic needs.
